Write-In elections & Local Haunts

After print, we got news that there were some campaigning rules broken, and that the Special Election was postponed. Do you think that there serious issues surrounding a write-in that doesn't address voter availability? Are you aware of the rules in a write-in? Have you ever voted in one here, or haven't you? Why or Why Not?

With local haunts, feel free to share a few haunted places of your own, or some ghost stories.

Fall 2005 was my first semester at WSU-V.

I've been surprised by the lack of student government involvement...that is, connecting with students on a regular basis in official and non-official ways. Has anyone seen the President or any other members going around campus talking to students about issues or events? All I see are those sidewalk signs. The election was a disapointing show of leadership by the ASWSUV. There were no voting pamphlets, virtually no campaigning, and not much promotion.

Being a student who enjoys being active, I took time to look for campaign fliers and such and found only one sad plain white 8.5"x11" sign in the media building.

That's a disappointing effort by students who seek out leadership positions.
