KOUG Radio & ASWSUV

Do you think the Media Board is doing the right thing by removing Daniel Cascaddan from the Station Manager position? What do you think the next step should be?

In regards to the Seantors article, how familiar are you with ASWSUV? How much do you care about the decisions student government makes and their activities? How much accountability do you think there needs to be? Do you know how you can get information on how the senators you have or have not voted for are representing the student body?

While I agree that someone who falls short of their job responsibilties should be removed from their position, I disagree that the Vancougar needed to print a full story on the matter. (On the front page, no less.) I also have to state my dissatisfaction with the removal of the token conservative opinions writer to be replaced by a female writer. Maybe I don't think there are enough Hispanic writers on the staff, or Indians, or Russians. Why don't we just replace the whole staff in the name of diversity? At first, his column appeared in response to the readers' conservative feedback. Apparently, readers have changed their minds and asked for more female writers. (Have they heretofore ignored the women that already write for the Vancougar?) Is this spot just a filler to show the opinions can be diverse, or is there rhyme or reason to opinions columns?

I think KOUG radio is a potentially major benefit to the students and WSU-V as a whole and it's sad to see it going to waste.

I would like to see KOUG radio rise from the ashes.
